    Seminar Topics

Design and manufacturing of Aerospace Vehicles have always been technology drivers in the development of new processes and materials; testing methods; modeling strategies and analysis tools. With the current focus on unmanned air-vehicles, new materials, analysis, design and testing methodologies for adaptive/ morphing structures have also emerged as thrust areas of research.
The conference theme is Aerospace Structures. Original research papers are invited from authors in the following topics, as well as in other related areas:
    • Composite structures
    • Smart and adaptive structures
    • Damage and failure analysis
    • Structural health monitoring
    • Structural dynamics and aeroelasticity
    • Highly flexible structures
    • Experimental methods

Seminar on Micro Solar Energy Generation and Utilization 3rd & 4th September 2011 Jointly organized by IIT Kanpur and IETE Kanpur Centre

At IIT Kanpur, we have been making efforts to promote solar energy. We are working towards making the institute a Centre of Excellence in Photovoltaic Research and Education and establish Solar Energy Research Enclave to do meaningful research and development. We have been organizing national and international conferences, seminar, symposium and workshops to bring to focus different issues and challenges related to solar energy technologies. Two national (http://www.iitk.ac.in/photovoltaics/) and international (http://www.iitk.ac.in/ ispst/) conferences/ syposium were organized in 2008 and 2010 respectively to promote the cause of solar photovoltaic. The institute’s Solar Energy Research Initiative was inaugurated by Dr. Manmohan Singh, Hon’ble Prime Minister of India on 3 July 2010.
